Ser Casa High School Academy of Environmental Sciences -
Renovation of Ste. Anne's School House for Charter School

Completion expected by Fall 2002

Environmental Sciences curriculum for grades 9-12

Funding sources include Empowerment Zone, General Motors and City of Detroit.

Homeowner Renovation Grants:

$5,000 forgivable grants to replace roofs, add new windows, furnaces, electrical, etc.
Available for homes in Hubbard-Richard and Hubbard-Farms neighborhoods
60 homes rehabilitated to date
Other rehab funding sources include MSHDA deferred loans (up to $25,000) and City of Detroit Home Repair ($10,000 grants)
